ALUMINIUM

ALUMINUM JACKETING / CLADDING

Jacketing & cladding is the protective outer surface for mechanical insulation systems including pipe, vessels, and equipment. It protects the insulation and underlying pipe/vessel from physical damage, UV exposure, corrosive atmospheres, and water. It is available in smooth, stucco embossed, and corrugated (cross-crimped) finishes.

Aluminum available in coils/Rolls has a baked-on finish of highly durable clear, hard film acrylic paint for aesthetic beauty, color-coding and corrosion protection of piping, vessels and tanks. It is available in a variety of standard and special colors. It is also available, on special order, with an outer finish of epoxy, modified polyester, vinyl and other specially pigmented coatings. Aluminum Jacketing is manufactured using alloys that conform to ASTM B-209.

Chemical Composition

Aluminum Jacketing is typically manufactured using alloys 1100, 1060, 3105, 3003 or 6061 each with specific performance and are considered interchangeable for use as insulation jacketing as per requirement.

Moisture Barriers

We recommend the use of moisture barriers on all Aluminum Jacketing to help prevent pitting, crevice, and galvanic corrosion of the interior surface of the metal jacketing and the underlying insulated pipe, tank or equipments.
